10 Year Record for Maple Lodge!

Fred Tilling (left) received a celebratory tankard
from RLHA Chairman Derrick Smith to celebrate
10 years of Maple Lodge.
Retired leaseholders at Maple Lodge in Poole held a
garden party in August 2005 to celebrate the tenth anniversary of
buying their own freehold. Maple Lodge was the first retirement
estate in the whole country to successfuly exercise their legal right
to force their landlord to sell them their freehold, known as
enfranchisement. Fred Tilling, Chairman of Maple Lodge Residents'
Association, was the driving force behind the leaseholders' outstanding
achievement.
Leaseholders
Choose RLHA
In 1995 Maple Lodge leaseholders chose RLHA to provide
them with a management service. This was followed with a second
success for RLHA a year later, when the second retirement estate to
enfranchise also chose RLHA. This was Regents Court in Gravesend.
Fred Tilling commented, "We have been very happy with
RLHA as our managing agents. We find they are responsive to our
needs, and work hard to communicate with leaseholders".
RLHA's Scheme Manager June Knight, appointed early in
1996, still works happily at Maple Lodge.
